GFRE

Glass Fibre Reinforced Epoxy (GFRE) Sheets is a strong, rigid material made of E Glass Fabric and Epoxy Resin cured under specific heat and pressure. This sheet is getting used for the roof ceiling of passenger coaches. GFRE is not just robust, aesthetically pleasing, and cost-effective but can also withstand fire safety requirements and is well known for its excellent physical strength, heat resistance, moisture resistance and Di-electrical properties.

The existence of GFRE came at a time when the existing NFTC sheet was adversely failing especially in General class and SLR coaches. GFRE sheets are well known for their excellent physical strength, heat resistance, moisture resistance and Di-electrical properties. GFRE as per specification RDSO/2014/CG-04 was approved by RDSO and complies to HL3 of EN 45545-2 for fire safety.
